The inspiration of photographer, Chris Scott, 12Daysofbeinganartist came into being when another inaugural art project planned for London 2024 was put on hold. Chris was on a summer holiday in Spain where it rained every day. In order put time to good use, he decided to develop 'Art Journey' (wip name of the project). By the time cloudy skies were swapped for cloudy skies, the format for this art program was complete.
An art program for working artists. Participating artists collaborate with the producer to create content and documentary film. Planned shooting occurs one day per month for a total of 12 months. Each month, the artist is featured working on a variety of assignments. These include artistic and novel exercises with the aim of documenting recognisable, but unique moments of creation. The collaboration creates unique branded content for each artists across the duration and a final short all-encapsulating artfilm as document of their special year long project.
